KELLIE
28 ▪ EST

I have been role playing now for over ten years. I started by writing self-insert fiction, moved on by creating original characters in stories written in composition books, and was then introduced to AOL. I progressed to chat room RP and IM-based RP. From there, I was introduced to message board RP which eventually led to journal RP. I first started on Livejournal, moved to Deadjournal, Blurty, and Caledia. We moved many of the games to Greatestjournal, where I remained until it's final days and brought myself to Insanejournal. I have been here ever since! Email and Google Docs have, also, been added to my arsenal of role playing tools.

I have played in numerous genres and have taken on a plethora of characters. From Anime to video games, literature to comics, movies, and celeb and PB; I've had my fair share. Currently, my preference lingers toward supernatural-themed (non-tv show!), PB-based, and heavy plot-driven games. I prefer to write threads via a threading community, email, or google docs. It is extremely rare that I will write an AIM thread only because of my availability to give that kind of attention during the day or evening.

Presently, I have no problem playing either female or male roles and have no specific PBs in mind that I would like to use. I am more than happy to use a requested face for a specific line or concept. I've never actively participated in a PSL, but would be happy to get my feet wet in something fun and exciting! Feel free to dropbox me or PM me.

Like my character list, my examples are also being re-worked and brought over from a previous CDJ. Please note that the examples you will find are, typically, from fandom-based games. As I primarily play in that type of environment, that is what I can offer. I tend to stray away from AIM threads only because I usually cannot devote the proper amount of time and attention that is necessary for those types of threads to happen.

What can you expect to find here in due time? Third-person storybook style responses to past or recent threads, narratives, first-person journal entries, or even drabble requests that I've written pertaining to fandoms that I enjoy exploring.

What can you expect to not find here? Extensively long and overly-worded responses. After much personal debate and deliberation, I have come to the conclusion that I am truly a quality versus quantity type of writer with a few minor requests. I will fully respect all my writing partners and, in doing so, will always try and do my best to return a well-written response to you at all times. Whether than response is 200 words long, or 500 words long, if I feel it follows the flow of the thread, moves the scene along, and continues character interaction, I believe it to be acceptable. That said, I can also assure you that I will never provide you with one-sentence responses. However, please do not expect me to completely rehash my character's day, week, or month in a response to meet some crazy word-length expectation if it has absolutely nothing to do with the scene at hand. If the inner monologue is pertinent to the scene and behavior, then it will be added.

As this journal is still a work in progress, my list of current and retired characters is not available at this time. I can provide a very rough list of characters that I've played; however, the list will forever remain incomplete due to not having back-ups and access to past characters on servers such as Greatest Journal, Deadjournal, Livejournal, and else where. Though the latter sites still exist, the journals are either lost or have been deleted. The information on Greatest Journal is, sadly, gone.
